SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

EARTH ACCORD GAME

The Earth Accord Game will be played the weeks of June 30-July 4 (6-8th Graders) and July 7-11th (3rd-5th graders). Participants must be able to read as the game documents require it.

Earth Accord challenges students to become diplomats, strategists, and problem-solvers in a complex, interconnected simulation of global diplomacy. Players work collaboratively to address crises such as resource shortages, climate disasters, territorial disputes, and humanitarian challenges. As leaders of fictional nations, students negotiate treaties, form alliances, resolve conflicts, and tackle environmental and economic issues while striving for peace and prosperity for all. Additionally, This amazing and unique geopolitical simulation affords student to practice their math skills in managing country economies and resources.

Combining creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking, Earth Accord encourages students to see the world through diverse perspectives, teaching empathy and the interconnectedness of global systems in an engaging, hands-on experience. You can think of the game as Risk meets Model United Nations. Students will come dressed in business professional clothes as they role play various positions such as President, Vice President, Minister of Trade, Minister of Defense, Minister of the Treasury, Bank Auditor, United Nations Agents, Arms Dealers, World Court Judges, and Weather Goddess.

My name is Todd Lichtenwalter, and I bring over 25 years of experience teaching STEM and building immersive learning experiences in Texas and at some of the most prestigious international schools across Africa, the Middle East, and South America, and passionate about inspiring young minds and fostering a love for learning. I am a multi-certified K-12 Texas science teacher with a Master of Science in Forestry from SFASU and a Bachelor of Business from UT Austin.

My unique learning space design skills were honed as the creator and director of the Education Immersion Center at my previous school, an American International school in South America, where I built from the ground up, the world's first immersion learning space to include live action simulators and virtual reality for K12 students. I have now returned home to Midlothian to create The Exploratorium, a one-of-a-kind STEM edutainment learning space where adventure and play meet education. At The Exploratorium, your child will explore exciting hands-on activities, innovative problem-solving challenges, and immersive experiences designed to build confidence, spark curiosity, and develop essential life skills—all while having fun!
